Project Lead

Benjamin (Benjy) Karten earned his EIT before becoming a Magna Cum Laude graduate from the University of North Texas in 2018. There, Benjy acquired his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Energy Engineering and a minor in mathematics. During his tenure at UNT, Benjy performed graduate research in the Laboratory of Advanced Polymers and Optimized Materials where he performed material analysis, provided training, and led a project to create a new thermoplastic material.  Benjamin earned his license to practice as a Professional Engineer in Texas on May 11th, 2023. The perspective he has gained through his background in materials and energy engineering gives him the confidence to make thoughtful design decisions as a project lead. Benjamin went into the engineering field with the intention of leaving the world a little better than he found it and has been indispensable in what he has done for Denton MEP.
